Within the project ‘’Creating the Third Side through mediation’’, ADRC – Mediation Center Mitrovica and CSSP – Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation organized the public discussion: ‘’The work of local institutions: challenges and opportunities’’. This activity aimed to provide to the local institutions/civil society/media representatives and to the citizens the platform to discuss upon their everyday problems and future possibilities for cooperation between the two municipalities: South Mitrovica and North Mitrovica.
Panelists in this public discussion were: Danijela Vujičić, Emir Azemi, Nedžad Ugljanin – assembly members of Mitrovica North Municipality, and Avni Kastrati – former mayor of Mitrovica South Municipality.
Amongst most important issues addressed in this activity that represent the main problems for all Mitrovica citizens were: unemployment, freedom of movement and informal/grey economy.
